About Me

 Personal Philosophy:
Don’t blink!! You just may miss it – you know, the moments that make glad you woke up this morning instead of rolling over and smashing the snooze button.

 Tricia (uncensored):
I was Random before if was cool. I love to write in pink ink. My jeans are a little more snug than I like them to be. My life is a daily adventure in the quest to accomplish the never ending to-do list that somehow reproduces more quickly than I can accomplish it. I’m related (by marriage) to BOTH the Hatfields AND the McCoys. Mandisa’s Only The World is my FAVORITE song of all time and I scream/sing it whenever I catch it on the radio. I love to plant flowers – not so good at keeping them alive. I drive a mom-mobile aka: the dreaded MINI VAN – but that’s okay, I still look cool. Four awesome little Hackneys call me mom. I’m the first, last and only wife to my terrific husband (who is equally lucky of course). As I wear many hats, I answer to many names – especially the beloved “Picture Lady”. I’m a photoshop junkie. The saxophone really gets me pumped, especially when it accompanies the Praise Team at church. I voted for Ross Perot in my first presidential election (yeah well, I was young lol). I started playing soccer when I turned 30 (still trying to score my first goal). I live on Diet Cherry Coke. 1991 is the year that I quit smoking. I LOVE to sing (note – I didn’t say I was good at it!) I’m a born again Christian and attend

Ashland Avenue Baptist Church. I <3 the smell of LEATHER!! I only wear 3 pieces of jewelry – my wedding set, my family birthstone ring and a family pendant on a chain. I got my first camera when I was in kindergarten. My husband is my best friend. I’m addicted to Grey’s Anatomy. I carry several packs of Extra bubble gum at all times – popping and blowing bubbles are some of more annoying habits – er, I mean hobbies lol. I’m a techno-geek – if you can plug it in, turn it on or throw batteries in it – I’m in LOVE. Daffodills and Balloons make me smile. I started out as a scrapbooker nearly fifteen years ago. I’m slowly learning that YES you can own too many clothes !  I’m a total book geek – LOVE to read!!

Bejeweled is making me CRAZY. I am a 2009 Difference Maker Award Recipient, awarded by the Cincinnati Museum Center. I keep a list of my angel babies in my Bible. I paint my lips in Chocolate Velvet #135 by Revlon. The vicious cycle of take pictures/scrap them/oh I need more pictures/oh lots more scrapping – began and took off as a business six years ago. Filling out Christmas cards is one of the highlights of my year – I sent out over 200 last year – I love to RECEIVE them as well ::: hint hint::: (don’t forget the pics). The newest addition to our family is a spunky little beagle named Dixie. I’ve determined that my life will be joyful and contagious (aren’t you glad that you don’t need a vaccine for that). Keys to My Karma (red) coats my fingers and Blue my Mind can be found on my toes. Life Is Good.

(and now a word from our sponsors – AKA Get The Picture Photography)
My studio is a reflection of me – you can always find something new and exciting to try and there is always something going on! Get The Picture is an appointment only studio located in St. Bernard. We are closed on Sundays (except during soccer season) and last three weeks of the December. We specialize in children, families and seniors. Studio and location sessions are available. Large groups on location are welcome. Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (nilmdts.org) is the charity that has my heart.

Club Bliss is our amazing baby club that captures your wee one at all the first year milestones over four sessions: 3, 6, 9 month sessions and the giggle filled first birthday session complete with a real cake and balloons (FYI – dark blue or purple butter cream frosting WILL stains tiny faces).

Would your photographer climb in a tree to take a shot? Crawl across the floor on her belly? Tie a balloon to her head and jump around like a clown? Roll up her jeans and walk into a pond just to catch a sweet reflection? Hang her fluffy-sized body over a lake from a tree just to make sure the limb was sturdy enough to hold your beloved teen? Find herself in the shallow end of the pool just to get the right angle for your wedding party shots? Go into “VOGUE” mode at the drop of a hat to get your Senior to stop being so serious and just be themselves? Would they do WHATEVER it takes to make the session an event instead of just a means to gorgeous pics? My clients are all shaking their heads up and down right now – giggling and saying OH YEAH. – You should be able to say the same.

Amanda Boehmer: Tricia, I love the new site. Looking at it and all the random pics of my family and friends and the strangers too -made me cry! You do such amazing work! I can't thank you enough for all the beautiful shots you have captured so far of my babies and many more to come (pictures not babies!) Love ya, The Boehmers

Kara Hansell: I became an angel mother on August 23rd, 2010. (i also have a 2yr old) i have found the NILMDTS website, however i found it a little too late. i want to join the group and become an affiliated photographer as you are, but i dont have any background in photography, but i love taking pictures and i take all kinds. Is there any advice you can offer me on how i can become with the orgaznization? Do you have any position i can do with you to get some form of experience behind my back to help my chances? i am from Lawrenceburg Indiana, and would really really be interested in doing something in my area. Please email me with any advice you may have about becoming a NILMDTS phoyographer. i really want to give someone the pics i never had the chance to get. they dont do that around here, the hospital staff takes the pictures and they r HORRIBLE!!! disgusting. completely obsurd. i cant even look at the ones they took, they are pathetic. Someone with experience who shares the pain and knows what pictures will be meaningful in the years to come needs to be there.

Amanda Boehmer: Should I put my answers here? I'm related by marriage to which to infamous families?
